Apple accused of ripping off Developers 'WiFi Sync' app rejected from the App Store
Developer Greg Hughes who is a student at the university of Birmingham created a 'WiFi Sync' app last year which was consequently rejected from Apple saying that the app didn't "technically break the rules" but it did "encroach on the boundaries" of what is allowed in the app store.

Then after Apple previewed iOS 5's and its new iOS 5's WiFi Sync feature he was completely in shock that this app did exactly the same thing that his did by connect over WiFi to iTunes whenever your iDevice is connected to a power source.
He said "I'd been selling my app with that name and icon for a year. Apple knew about it as I'd submitted it to them, so it was surprising to see that they had pinched it for iOS 5"
Hughes has now gotten legal advice to stand up and defend his work and according to him the App Store representative he spoke with last year told him that his app was "quite impressive". Here's his video explaining his WiFi Sync.
